This
site is about members of the Free and Accepted Masons of the State of
Michigan. Freemasonry is first and foremost a fraternity. It is also
“A Way of Life.” The brotherhood of man under the
fatherhood of God is primary – this means that its activities
should always be designed to promote friendship, morality and brotherly
love.
Our Mission
To meet the needs of the members of Cedar Lodge #60 by providing a quality, congenial and friendly environment to foster and improve Freemasonry. To be the organization of first choice for men of good character, whose values include friendship, morality and brotherly love and provide incentives and intrinsic rewards that inspire them to contribute to the strength of our Lodge and fulfilling our vision.
Our Vision
To become a relevant organization dedicated to delighting, involving and educating members and their families in the community, where the lodge is a vibrant, respected and contributing part of community life. Cedar #60 shall accomplish this by creating a growing, active, relevant lodge of great appeal that is well known and respected as a role model for other lodges and organizations.

Our Location
Cedar Lodge # 60,
located in downtown historic Clarkston, Michigan, celebrated it's 152nd year in
2006. The Lodge was Chartered January 13th, 1854 and included many
important people in the community as members. They originally met
upstairs at Brother N.D. Smith’s general store located at the
corner of Main and Washington. Henry Ford used to sit in our
lodge.
The
Order
of the Eastern Star (OES) Chapter (Joseph C. Bird #294) was formed on
April 12th 1901.
The
current
temple was purchased in 1916 and it is also located at the corner of
Main and Washington. The temple had a fire in September of 1924 and it
was quite extensive. Both the Masons and the Stars held their meetings
at Grange Hall while the Temple was rebuilt which wasn't completed
until 1925. The Masons and Stars were very involved in their community
and the temple and many brothers are featured in the Clarkston
historical society museum.
